Benzodiazepines possess a class of drugs frequently prescribed for the management of nervousness. Common benzodiazepines comprise Tavor, Valium, Rivotril, and Ativan. Each of these drugs acts on the central nervous system to enhance the effects of a neurotransmitter known as GABA. This results in a calming effect, decreasing feelings of uneasiness.
